Pilgrim Lodge Summer Jobs 2007

The Pilgrim Lodge Summer Staff is an integral part of our summer program and community. The job is intense, demanding, fun, and meaningful. If you are over 18 years old (or will be by June 2007) and are interested in living in an intentional Christian community, please take a look at our staff covenant and feel free to download an application.  You must be available from June 14-August 22 although some positions may begin a few days before and last a few days after.   Everyone does everything at Pilgrim Lodge, but areas of specialization are listed below with links to job descriptions.

 Job Description

  • Grounds and Maintenance

    Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor

     Job Description

    ·        Scrape and paint buildings

    ·        Maintain all aspects of physical plant

    ·        Chop, split, haul, and stack wood

    ·        Maintain trails

    ·        Haul debris

    ·        Light carpentry

    ·        Mow grass, maintain lawn and landscape

    ·        Maintain, keep track of and put away all tools when finished with tasks

    ·        Other tasks as directed by head of maintenance and director.

Community Life – (all staff members)

  • Clean Bathrooms

  • Wash Dishes

  • Empty Garbage

  • Clean camp

  • Unload trucks

  • Participate in staff activities and meetings

  • Assist campers with any and all needs

  • Assist deans and volunteer counselors with any and all needs

  • Help to build camp morale and encourage the growth of other staff members

  • Assist other staff members with their duties when needed

  • Represent Pilgrim Lodge in a professional manner consistent with its mission statement

  • sign and abide by the Pilgrim Lodge Staff Covenant

  • other duties as assigned
