The Pilgrim Lodge Summer Staff is an integral part of our summer program and community. The job is intense, demanding, fun, and meaningful and are interested in living in an intentional Christian community, please take a look at our staff covenant and feel free to download an application. 

  • Nurse (RN or LPN) Job Description

NOTE: Nurses are hired on a week by week basis.  Some nurses choose to work multiple weeks, others come for a single week.   Occasionally we employ a camp doctor in lieu of a nurse.

Nurses live in the health center on the Lake.

 

  • Collect and catalogue all camper and staff medical forms and medications at the time of registration
  • Be present on camp at all time in the event of emergency
  • Distribute all medication
  • Follow established guidelines and standing orders of camp doctor
  • Maintain contact with parents of ill or injured campers
  • Carry radio when not in the health center
  • Serve as emergency contact (carry beeper) for parents
  •  Keep record of every complaint, treatment, or transaction with a patient
  • With camp director, help with homesickness
  • Represent Pilgrim Lodge in a professional manner consistent with its mission statement
