Please join us as we wake Pilgrim Lodge up for the vibrant season to come. We always have raking leaves, stacking wood, clearing brush, cleaning buildings and special projects to get camp ready.

Friday, April 25 Schedule: 

  • Arrive and leave anytime 10:00 am – sundown or stay overnight.
  • No hot meals will be offered as we’ll be setting up the kitchen. We’ll have sandwich makings, fruit and snacks available. Feel free to bring food to heat in a microwave if you’d like to bring along your own meals.
  • Feel free to come up after work and supper if you want to be here fresh for Saturday.
  • It can be cold in the cabins so dress warmly and bring warm bedding.

Saturday, April 26 Schedule:

  • Breakfast 8:00-9:00 AM
  • 9:00 Welcome and project assignments
  • 12:00 – 12:30 Lunch
  • 12:30 – 4:00 Camp clean-up continues
  • 6:00 – 6:30 Dinner served for those staying overnight

Sunday, April 27 Schedule:

  • Breakfast 8:00-9:00 AM
  • 9:00 Welcome and project assignments
  • 12:00-12:30 Lunch
  • 12:30-4:00 Camp clean-up continues

There is no fee for Jump Start Work Days, although donations are accepted.

 Who may attend?

  • Adults over 18 years old and minors with their parent or youth group

Please RSVP by calling 207-724-3200 or emailing lhoffman@pilgrimlodge.org. Information to provide:

  • Number of people attending
  • Which day(s) attending
    • Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday 
  • If you plan on staying overnight Friday into Saturday and/or Saturday into Sunday
  • How many meals you plan on attending
    • Breakfast and lunch are all provided on Saturday and dinner for those staying overnight on Saturday
    • Breakfast and lunch will be served on Sunday
  • If you have any dietary needs we should be aware of
    • Allergies, vegetarian, etc.
  • If any of the attendees have specific skill sets
    • Electrician, carpenter, welder, amateur chainsaw juggler, etc.

Bring work equipment if you’ve got it (write your name on it). Gloves, rakes, shovels, chainsaws, garden tools, construction tools are all helpful!

Youth Groups

  • Please have at least one adult for every five minors
  • Forms are needed for all minors.
  • If you want to stay overnight: Call to register at 724-3200 and bring a warm sleeping bag and warm sleeping clothes.

What forms are needed for needed for minors who attend without their parent or legal guardian?

  • Health Form 1 is required for minors only who attend with a youth group (no doctor’s signature, just parents).
  • Permission Form for minors who attend without their parent or legal guardian.
