Tent Camping at Pilgrim Lodge

Pilgrim Lodge is now offering a tenting option for some adult and family sessions for those who seek closer experience with nature during their time at Pilgrim Lodge.

Where are the tent sites and what amenities are available?

The camping area is located beyond the end of the boardwalk nestled between the labyrinth and the playing field. The tenting area is accessible by car for the purpose of unloading gear, but vehicles must be parked in one of the primary parking lots at camp. There are NO amenities available in the camping area! This option is about simply being in a natural setting. There are no hook-ups or RV camping options in this tenting area. Campers who intend to use the tenting area must provide their own tents, bedding and camping supplies. Bathroom access is provided by the nearby shower house which includes single-stall toilets, sinks and shower stalls with curtains.

Who can use the tent sites?

The tent sites are for use during some adult session and some family sessions. The website listing for each camp will indicate whether tenting is an option for that session. If you are bringing a minor-aged camper to Pilgrim Lodge, the camper must stay in a tent with their parent or guardian. The same camp rules that apply to staying in the cabins will also be applied to those who choose to camp out. No campfires will be allowed in the tenting areas. Campers will be asked to utilize only the campfires provided for all-camp activities.

How do I register if I want to use a tent site?

When you complete your registration in UltraCamp, the sessions for which tenting is an option will have a listing to register for a “cabin” or for “tent camping.” There is a small discount for tent camping, so choosing this option will apply the discount and indicate to the Deans that you’ll be in the camping area instead of a cabin.
