In early June Pilgrim Lodge presents a transition between winter and summer. It can be winter-clothes cool, summer sunshine warm and, sometimes both. As with climate and weather, our ‘vintage’ bodies and souls face that same transition. Vintage Ventures is a time to recover from long, cold winter nights and recalibrate for long, warm summer days.
Many campers return to Vintage Ventures each June to reunion with our camp family to share play, prayer, and life; activities centered around the common thread of faith, hope, love, and friendship. Each year we also welcome new friends to our circle.
Campers are encouraged to participate with planned curriculum activities, although these are optional. We share activities, games, and projects brought to share with the group. The ‘Talent ’ show highlight the weeks’ activities or can offer something spontaneous. There is a Yankee Swap for fun and a Silent Auction to raise money for the Pilgrim Lodge mission project.
Along with specific Vintage Ventures activities, Pilgrim Lodge offers waterfront activities and fabulous Labyrinth experiences; and places to sit and contemplate, or walk among the trees if ‘alone time’ is required.
