Senior High Island Camp takes adventures to another level. With our close-knit island community, you will venture to the far reaches of Lake Cobbosseecontee, examine the mysteries of natural wonders, and aim to serve the greater good. Join this exciting journey as we build community in the wilderness; discovering, reflecting, exploring our souls and roles in the ever changing world.

When considering whether Senior Island Camp is the right fit for your child, please consider the following features of the program:

The program is designed for the campers to have input into some of the activities which means that the day-to-day routine of camp can have more flexibility than our camps on the mainland. Activities and schedules can fluctuate by the day.

This program is intentionally small by design. A small community of campers will be spending the week together in a tight-knit community.

Campers spend most of the week outdoors and participate in tending the camp together (carrying firewood, cooking meals, cleaning up after meals, etc.).

There are opportunities to go on boat trips away from the island and usually a visit to the mainland camp once or twice during the week with the final night (Friday) being back in a mainland cabin for easier pick up on the last day.

There is a lot of physical activity from outings to games on the island in addition to cozy time around the campfire. Campers should expect to be physically active, walking around the island, trails at camp, and paddling boats.

On the island, there is no electricity or running water or showers. There is an outhouse and campers clean up in the lake where there are some spaces to swim in proximity to the island. The campfire and flashlights are the only light source after dark. Campers sleep in tents or screened-in lean-tos.

Camp staff delivers potable water from the mainland along with restocking food needs 1-2 times / day. Camper mail is also delivered on a daily basis.

The 2027 schedule is here! Registration opens January 1st.
