Come and celebrate Pride Month at Pilgrim Lodge!
Camp Pride, a weeklong camp for LGBTQ+ youth and allies, embarked on its inaugural year on the banks of Lake Cobbosseecontee in West Gardiner, Maine in 2017. This camp week is intentionally interfaith and seeks to provide a place of safety and support for our LGBTQ+ youth to discover and to be themselves. With counselors from multiple faith traditions and backgrounds, we strive to build a community founded on love, openness, and inclusivity.
Knowing that Camp Pride is a safe place to question, explore, and be affirmed, we are eager to welcome new and returning campers entering 7th grade to 12th grade as well as new high school graduates!
While here, campers will:
1) Find a safe space to be fully themselves, to explore their identity, and to share their stories. At Camp Pride, pronouns are honored, names respected, exploration welcome, and identity celebrated! Special care and consideration will be given to ensure that our younger campers are engaging in age-appropriate conversations while also benefiting from the wisdom of their older peers.
2) Find affirming space for conversations around spirituality, identity, and
love for self and others. We honor all of our campers’ spiritual journeys, offering support and places to allow for the intersectionality of LGBTQ+ identity and matters of spirituality.
3) Experience the fun of being at camp! Campers can enjoy all that camp has to offer, such as swimming, boating, singing, crafting, playing games, enjoying cookouts, having ice cream, spending time with old and new friends, and so much more!

New Cell Phone Policy for 2026: Camp Pride is designed to create community while giving campers a beneficial break from social media and other inputs from devices while in camp’s beautiful natural environment. In order to support campers in being fully present at camp, cell phones and other devices that use cellular data are not allowed during the program. If this presents a concern for your camper or family, please contact Pilgrim Lodge in advance at info@pilgrimlodge.org or 207-724-3200 so that a plan for reasonable accommodations can be made in advance of camp.
As the recipient of a Carpenter Grant and many private donations, scholarships are available for Camp Pride campers! Please follow this link to apply. We ask that all who are able pay the $100 deposit at registration in order to be able to provide scholarships to as many campers as possible. If you need assistance paying the $100 deposit, please contact the Pilgrim Lodge Office at 207-724-3200 or email info@pilgrimlodge.org.
Campers of Camp Pride will not need to complete the “Cabin Preference Form” during registration (all cabins for the session are All-Gender Cabins), but are welcome to contact us to share any information relevant to your camper’s cabin assignment.
