For our 2026 Outreach Program, we’re supporting two Wabanaki-led organizations.
The mission of Speaking Place is to revitalize and strengthen the Passamaquoddy language by creating spaces where speakers and learners can speak, learn, and carry the language forward together through documentation, training, immersion, research, and innovation.
The mission of Wabanaki Public Health and Wellness is to provide community-driven, culturally centered public health and social services to all Wabanaki communities and people while honoring Wabanaki cultural knowledge, cultivating innovation, and fostering collaboration.
